PAKISTANI FILM ANARKALI IS MUCH SUPERIOR THAN INDIAN MUGHAL-E-AZAM IN ALL ASPECTS.

3. Raza Kazmi Haider - May 14, 2013

Mr. Mir, you are totally wrong, Mughal-e-Azam was technically superior to our local Anarkali (1958). Mughal-e-Azam was made by Late K.Asif with a huge budget and it had most expensive sets replicating the original era, whereas, the local movie though good, made with 1/10TH of the budget of Indian version. It is also a pity that original 35mm reels of Anarkali does not exist, as it was not saved / preserved by our cultural department, only a poor quality VHS print is there. On the other hand Mughal-e-Azam (1960) has been restored in its original 35mm Black & White (Mono sound) and in 2004 the reels were colorized with Technicolor with digital sound.
